BEFORE

This garden is right next door to the garden on the previous page.

The clients, a couple with a young family, wanted a space in which they could relax and entertain at the same time as their children were playing.

The garden design solution was to use the very steep slope to our advantage. By instructing the Exeter landscapers to construct a retaining wall diagonally across the garden we naturally divided the garden into two levels.

On the top level, nearest the house, we created a peaceful space for the adults complete with a patio (left) and small wildlife pond.

While in the bottom level, below and behind the rose covered picket fence, the children had room for their Wendy House, rabbit hutch and games.
